CIVIL ENGINEER
Within this role you will work autonomously and collectively with our design team to create economic and environmentally sustainable designs that meet the requirements of our client and council authorities. You will be allocated a range of varying projects to manage, liaise with other consultants, design and complete.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia (preferred)
Professional Capabilities
- Between 3-5 years of industry experience within the stormwater and civil engineering industry;
- Good knowledge of local authority requirements and standards;
- Forward thinking mentality; and
- Good communication skills, both oral and written in order to liaise successfully with clients and consultants.
Technical Capabilities
- Understanding and experience in the design of roads and infrastructure;
- The ability to produce civil and hydraulic engineering designs for stormwater systems including:
- Downpipe and gutter arrangements;
- Rainwater tank sizing;
- On-site detention arrangements;
- Stormwater treatment & WSUD;
- Identification and selection of outfall options and all interconnecting gravity pipework; and
- Site erosion and sediment control.
- Experience with in-ground stormwater drainage from the face of the building to the legal point of discharge including overland flow conditions;
- The ability to produce civil designs specifically external pavement levels around buildings such as cross-over, access roads from public roads to the site and on-grade car parks; and
- The ability to work on a diverse range of projects including residential subdivisions, high-rise residential, aged care, commercial and industrial developments.
Software Requirements
- DRAINS, MUSIC, AutoCAD; and
- Civil 3D, CSD (preferred).
CIVIL DESIGNER / DRAFTSPERSON
Within this role you will work autonomously and collectively with our design team to assist the engineers to create design documentation that meets the requirements of the project.
Qualifications
- Tafe Diploma in CAD course (preferred).
Professional Capabilities
- Over 3 years of industry experience in the industry;
- Ability to work autonomously and collectively with our design team;
- Forward thinking mentality; and
- Good communication skills, both oral and written in order to liaise successfully with clients and consultants.
Technical Capabilities
- Good knowledge in drafting roads, subdivisions, stormwater, cut & fill and earthworks;
- Advanced computer skills using AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Civil 3D (preferred) and/or CSD (training can be provided for CSD); and
- The ability to work on a diverse range of projects including residential subdivisions, high-rise residential, aged care, commercial and industrial developments.
FLOOD ENGINEER
This role requires you to liaise with the project team to produce flood management reports and flood impact studies. You will be allocated a range of varying projects to manage, liaise with client and liaise with the authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia (preferred)
Professional Capabilities
- 3-5 years of similar industry experience;
- Ensure planning and design principles comply with policies, standards, guidelines and legislation; and
- Familiar with current industry practice and changes to the flood planning requirements.
Technical Capabilities
- Extensive knowledge using DRAINS, TUFLOW, XP-STORM (preferred), MAPINFO and QGIS;
- Ability to interrogate and understand models prepared by other organisations and amend to suit the project requirements; and
- Report writing skills.
